‘Dragon Reine’ is the 7th studio album from Brussels-based French musician Dea Hydra's solo project LUMINANCE. The 2nd album to be released on the Objetrouvé label since “Crystal Magic”, released in 2021, the album is a collection of 6 tracks hammered out of the most precious metal, with a precision and obsessive taste for detail. Each track has been finely chiselled, reflecting the textures and brilliance of the rarest colours. Without renouncing the bituminous darkness of his early years, with little jewels of synthwave tailored for the dance floor such as “Seigneur du Soleil Noir” and “Trop Fragile”, the album nonetheless offers shining rays of unbridled romanticism such as the title track “Dragon Reine”, powerful hypnotic and diaphanous hymns (“Butterflies Someday”, “Le dernier chant des sirènes”) and grimacing hallucinatory nursery rhymes (“Rictus Circus”). Together, they form a veritable concept album, a journey through stages that seem to come straight out of an initiation tale, pulling us out of cynical, mortifying darkwave and lifting us towards the horizon of romantic synthpop where the imagination shines with generosity.

The object records, designed in symbiosis by Stephane Argillet Stereovoid, combine wood, ink, shadows and wired chaos, evoking the dangerous net of mermaids' hair and other “dragon queens” who haunt this album dedicated to dreams, in turn desperate or salutary.
