Martial Canterel is the solo project of Brooklyn-based musician Sean McBride (who also performs as half of the duo Xeno & Oaklander). Guardian figure of the new school of analogue electronic music, he has cast his shadow over the entire synth scene of the past 15 years. Crafting his electronic sound in a peculiar intersection between avant-garde and pop, Martial Canterel merges the influences of the first wave of underground minimal electronic bands from northern Europe with seminal industrial noise bands while simultaneously giving nods to the smoothly stylish song craft of early French and British New Wave.
The inspiration for this new Objetrouvé lies in the 2 key songs of the EP: « Horizon Ltd. » and « Remake the World ». The record is a dismembered body, set into pieces, waiting to be put together. Yet once rebuilt, it still evokes ruins of a decayed city_ or the dramatic silhouette of a post-catastrophe Hubert Robert landscape.

The records are produced in two versions. The “COLLECTOR” edition, consisting in 20 unique pieces, all different, handcrafted as singular art pieces by Stephane Argillet Stereovoid . The “STANDARD” edition is a more simple and affordable version of the same record, produced in a numbered series of 200 copies. The mastering is made in both digital and vinyl version by Dea Hydra (Luminance). Each COLLECTOR edition also includes a unique photo portrait of Sean McBride by Liz Wendelbo (his partner in the duo Xeno & Oaklander).
